This game was part of the project Jogo da Paz (Game of Peace) in which the veterans of São Paulo Futebol Clube play against city clubs or formed teams to spread the message of non-violence in Football. The games are free and it's only required for the attendants that they take 1kg of non-perishable food which are donated to charity institutions after the games.

The institution that organise the official football championships in Pindamonhangaba is the Liga Pindamonhangabense Municipal de Futebol and a selection of players in the category "senior" (veterans) from many local clubs was made by João Rodrigues (coach and director of the Liga Pindamonhangabense) to form the team which would play this friendly game. Although the game was won by the veterans of São Paulo FC, the trophy (donated by Colonial Plaza Hotel) was given by São Paulo FC to the players of Pindamonhangaba in a friendly act. The game happened on June 27, 2010, at Dr. Antônio Pinheiro Júnior Stadium, which belongs to Associação Atlética Ferroviária, a football club of Pindamonhangaba.
