My Commentary: It was my first time in Italy and considering that Ventimiglia is the first city in Italy crossing from France, I thought I wouldn't see much difference from the French towns I thought I would see a small and calm town far from an urban centre, but I was totally mistaken! Ventimiglia is a fantastic town, it has its old town on the hill and from there you have a nice view of the sea, also there is a beach and the town has everything necessary for the basic things (supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants), it's not a countryside town, for sure. I enjoyed a lot Agosto Medievale, which is a series of games that the neighbourhoods of Ventimiglia play against each other and each one represented by its own colours. There was also one day of street fair, so the main street was blocked for cars and many products were being sold and also there was food, this fair was long, going the way alongside the sea

The building was built in 1650 as headquarters of the Compagnia della Misericordia, on the site of an ancient building between Via Garibaldi and Via Giudici, donated by the nobleman Antonio Porro.
Ristorante Social Café Bar - I need to taste the Italian pizza, but I was worried about the toppings. I saw this menu on the picture and there was one pizza named "Prosciutto" with the toppings "pomodoro, mozzarella, prosciutto" then I thought "ok, pomodoro is tomato sauce, mozzarella is obviously cheese but prosciutto?" then I found a way to ask the attendant what that was and he answered "jambon", which is in French, guessing I was from there, but it helped I remembered my previous days in France, that "proscitutto" is ham! So I ordered that one!

After stepping up the hill full of traditional Italian houses and being under heavy sun, I arrived at Cattedrale di Ventimiglia. The old town up the hills were under construction, but people could still access there, I just didn't know where exactly I was going because this time I didn't have plans, but that's the most exciting, to explore the unknown.
